When it comes to weddings, my focus is simple: to make your day feel as special as it should. Whether it’s learning a song just for you, setting the mood during your ceremony, engaging your guests during the reception, or DJing your dance floor into the night—I’ll help you create a soundtrack that’s personal, heartfelt, and completely unforgettable.

I offer three packages, with the most popular being the Full Day Package—designed to cover every musical moment from start to finish. From the moment your guests arrive to the final song of the night, I’ve got all things sound sorted. I bring professional-grade audio gear, battery-powered speakers for multiple locations, a wireless mic for your celebrant or speeches, and a DJ booth with decks and lighting to keep the dance floor pumping. The best part? With me there all day, I can build a connection with your guests—reading the vibe, curating the music, and making sure everyone feels entertained and part of something special.

Hi, I’m René :) I grew up on a mango farm in North Queensland and taught myself guitar at 12, learning by ear through YouTube and my parents’ record collection—The Beatles, The Eagles, Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, and Bob Dylan to name a few. I found my voice through years of busking and performing, learning how to read a crowd and create moments through music.

Today, I'm lucky enough to be a full-time recording artist and former contestant on The Voice Australia (Team Boy George), with over a decade of live experience performing everywhere from small bars to stadiums of 50,000 across Australia, Europe, the UK and the US

Can you learn a specific song for our ceremony?

Absolutely! I will happily learn 1-2 songs for your aisle or first dance.

Do you use backing tracks or is everything live?

Everything is live and on the fly! I curate what I'm going to play based on the audience and feel of the room.

Do you play covers?

Yes of course. I have a repertoire of over 250 songs and always get complimented on my range of genres and music. I describe my set as 'something for everyone'. If you'd like me to perform originals as well let me know!

How far in advance should we book you?

As a rule of thumb 6-12 months in advance is standard for weddings... but if you're late to the game flick me a message anyway. If I'm free I'll be there even if it's the week before!

How much do you charge and what's included?

I have 3 packages to choose from, flick me an email for a quote. I also require a 10% deposit to lock it in, and a discount for cash payments.

Is there anything I need to provide?

A nice shady spot to perform your ceremony if it's outdoors, and if you book me for my full day package please put me down for a meal! I will also need wifi/service for DJ services... I've never come across a venue that doesn't but always good to double check!

Do you travel for weddings?

Absolutely! In fact I really enjoy travelling for weddings. There is more planning involved but it is really fun to do.
