About René
Growing up on a mango farm in North Queensland, René relocated to the Gold Coast originally to pursue an AFL career but instead found his passion for music. A self-taught guitarist since 11 years old, René began his career busking at local markets. Deciding he better give it a shot René successfully auditioned for The Voice Australia in 2019. Fast forward to now, the young artist has accumulated over 2 million streams and counting, performing his originals internationally and on tours/festivals around Australia, receiving a number of songwriting nominations and awards. Having performed thousands of shows big and small including weddings, cruise ships, fine dining, corporate events and luxury island residencies, it’s safe to say René can entertain any type of audience with just him and a guitar.
Professional SOund
I supply my own professional sound and lighting, including PA, instruments, microphones and also battery powered speakers if needed! I can also provide a wireless mic on request if you need one for speeches or formalities
Live music
I have 200+ songs in my repertoire ranging from 60s to todays top 100, and perform in a style similar to Ed Sheeran using a loop pedal. I can perform multiple genres and moods, generally weddings are always fun songs and singalongs!
DJ
I provide DJ services for my full day package clients and work with them to understand their taste and the taste of their guests. And yes, I'm happy to take requests!
